Tefani & So is an upscale and highly rated Dog Daycare and Grooming boutique located in the heart of San Francisco. At Tefani & So, we are dedicated to providing top service to our four-legged friends by providing them with a pampering and stress free experience throughout their stay with us. Our entire team prides ourselves with our white glove service and high attention to detail, resulting in a very loyal and consistent client base.
We are looking for an experienced Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grooming (at least 2 years) and can provide photos of past work. Strong attention to detail, and the obvious love for animals is a must. Currently, our grooming services are only available to existing clients, so you will have the ability to really build a strong and personalized connection with each and every dog. No need to find clients of your own, our client base has recurring clients that fill our schedule.

Animal Care and Handling:
Safely and humanely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
Monitor the dog's behavior and health during grooming sessions, ensuring they remain calm and comfortable.
Grooming Services:
Perform grooming tasks including bathing, brushing, trimming, anal gland expressions and styling the dog's coat according to breed standards or client preferences.
Clean and care for the dog’s ears, eyes, teeth, and nails, including nail trimming or grinding.
Address specific skin conditions or fur issues like matting or shedding.
General Daycare Services:
Assist Managers and Walkers in handling the dogs during times when there are no grooming bookings.
Assist in supervising dogs while they are in the play areas to ensure they are playing together safely
Client Communication:
Consult with pet owners to understand their preferences, concerns, and the specific grooming needs of their dog.
Provide advice on proper at-home care and recommend products or grooming schedules based on the dog’s needs.
Sanitation and Safety:
Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming environment, including cleaning tools and workspaces between sessions.
Follow all safety protocols to prevent injuries to the dog, the groomer, and others in the grooming environment.
Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed records of each dog’s grooming history, including services provided, any health concerns noted, and client preferences.
Product and Equipment Maintenance:
Use grooming tools and equipment properly and safely, ensuring they are maintained in good working order.
Stock and manage grooming supplies, including ordering new supplies as needed.
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service, building strong relationships with clients through professionalism, reliability, and care for their pets.
Handle customer complaints or concerns with empathy and a solution-oriented approach.
Continued Education:
Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques, tools, and products by attending workshops, reading industry publications, and engaging in professional development.
Qualifications
Understanding of standard grooming and cuts for all breeds
Ability to handle grooming dogs of all sizes, including bathing, brushing of coat, brushing of teeth, drying, nail trims/grinds and clean ears
Have a natural love for dogs
Have great customer service and communication skills
Ability to lift 50lbs
Have the ability to work independently
Must be at least 18 years of age
Minimum 2 years of past grooming experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in asian fusion grooming methods is a plus
Fluent in spoken Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
Competitive Pay - Pay range for this role is $60,000-$70,000 annual salary, depending on experience and skill level

Training and onboarding will be available to ensure you are able to adopt current clientele’s styles, tools provided
